On the Russian rejection of Trump’s ceasefire proposal. But Russian officials appear to be sending other messages that the Western press is ignoring.
In early November, Barbara Bonte, a Belgian member of the European Union (EU) parliament, raised concern about the sell-off of Ukrainian land on a massive scale to U.S. private equity firms along with some Saudi agro-industrial and investment businesses.
For the fifth time since 2008, Russia has proposed to negotiate with the U.S. over security arrangements, this time in proposals made by President Vladimir Putin on June 14, 2024. Four previous times, the U.S. rejected the offer of negotiations, endangering the whole world. After all the warmongering, it’s time for Biden to open negotiations for peace with Russia.
The US and its G7 partners are in panic mode. They lack conviction about Ukraine’s capability to disrupt the momentum of a major Russian offensive that is widely expected in summer. There is even a sense of dark foreboding that the Ukrainian military may simply pack up in the coming months.
When it comes to the war in Ukraine we in the US, like the Ukrainian people themselves, have been sold a bill of goods. Ukrainians, however, are a step ahead of Americans in that the overwhelming majority of them are rejecting the lies their government is dishing out to them.
The UK has planned or executed over 40 attempts to remove foreign governments in 27 countries since the end of the Second World War. These range from brutal colonial wars and covert operations to efforts to prop up favoured governments, including British Guiana in 1953, Egypt in the 1950s, Iraq in 2003 and Libya in 2011.
Ukraine has changed everything. Before Ukraine, America was number one, at least perception-wise. After Ukraine, American is number two economically, number three militarily, and this is a reality that the world is accepting. Russia knows this.
Western values seem to function intermittently, like a car’s indicator lights. For Ukraine, the right to resist invasion and occupation is sacrosanct. But not for the Palestinians. The truth is that in the game of the great powers, the issue is not really the territorial integrity of Ukraine. This is a mere pretext for the ‘defence of values’, for their export in fact.
“The BRICS Have Changed the Balance of Forces, But They Will Not by Themselves Change the World”; Also: “India, the Reluctant BRICS Traveller”.
Without doubt, there is a congruence of interests between the Ukrainian intelligence and its western mentors to destroy Wagner and eliminate it from the geopolitical chessboard altogether.
