Understanding how U.S. and NATO policies led to crisis, war, and the risk of nuclear catastrophe.
The leaked Pentagon documents are sceptical about the success of the Ukrainian counter-offensive. In reality, Ukraine is haemorrhaging. It is in the nature of attritional wars that at some point, the weaker side breaks and thereupon, the end comes very fast.
The documents give a clear picture of what is going on in Ukraine and around the world concerning conflicts, wars and peace efforts.
Twenty years ago, Noam Chomsky published a bestselling book called Hegemony or Survival. Since then, the stark choice he posed has only become more urgent. On October 27, 1962, Soviet naval officer Vasily Arkhipov helped prevent the outbreak of World War III and saved humanity from nuclear catastrophe.
The war in Ukraine is not going to end in a negotiated settlement. The Russians have already made it clear that they don’t trust the United States. The Russians are going to obliterate the Ukrainian Army, and force the political leadership to comply with their security demands
Data suggests that US dollar reserves in central banks are dwindling, as is the influence of the US on the world economy. This presents a unique opportunity for regional currencies and alternative payment systems to enter the vacuum.
I do not want those waging war by rhetoric and display to win. I do not want the war waged by fanatical neoconservative ideologues to win. I do not want the imperium to win. I do not want the West to win so long as it insists intolerantly that the rest of the world observe its diktats.
