A recent report from Oxfam points the finger at the wealthiest individuals for causing climate change through their individual carbon footprints as well as their investments in polluting industries. But what is missing from this report is that the system of capitalism is the root cause.
The Tamils of the island of Sri Lanka (Ceylon) belong to that category of victims of major human rights violations who only few in the world want to acknowledge as victims.
As we end a difficult year, let’s pause to remind ourselves of some of the positive changes that happened in 2022 that should inspire us to do more in the year to come. While some are only partial gains, they are all steps towards a more just, peaceful and sustainable world.

Can the Hindu mind regain its balance, shed its belief in its supremacy, and truly embrace the pluralistic ideals of the freedom struggle?
