If the five international media outlets, in a major about-face, now explicitly oppose the persecution of Assange, it is out of concern that a show trial of a journalist who exposed US war crimes will spark a major political crisis for the Biden administration.
The perilous heating of this planet is the topic that will, sooner or later, leave all others in the dust. New cold wars and hot wars will make no sense whatsoever in such a future. Either attention to climate change will leave all else in the dust or climate change itself will leave us all in the dust!
Because of the outflow of finance from elsewhere in the world to the US, all major currencies are weakening against the dollar, including the euro and the pound-sterling. This article is about the weakening of third world currencies, of which the rupee is a prime example.
The attempt to kill Khan will not change anything. The masses are cynical, the politicians and generals busy making money. It would be good if some lessons were learned, and the next elections were more than two power-hungry blocs fighting to increase their bank-balances.
