There can be little question that the grim prison at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, which still shows no sign of closing anytime soon, is a key legacy — in the worst sense imaginable — of America’s post-9/11 forever wars.

Western media have shown far more interest and have much greater sympathy with Israeli dead than Palestinian ones and have played their usual role as unofficial spokespersons for the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF).
Over the past two weeks, tens of millions of people around the world have participated in mass demonstrations, protests and marches against the US and NATO-backed Israeli genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza.
While the proximate causes of Israeli apartheid, occupation, and genocide clearly lie squarely at the feet of Israel and its chief sponsor the United States, the United Kingdom has a special responsibility to make right its historical sins in Palestine—and everywhere else.
Do the Palestinians have a right to resist the non-stop aggression to which they are subjected? Absolutely. There is no moral, political or military equivalence as far as the two sides are concerned.
Israel is convinced greater levels of violence will finally crush Palestinian aspirations; it is mistaken. Also: “The Violence of the Oppressed” – No one should cheer the slaughter in Israel; but to forebear from cheering is not to condemn. Until the community of onlookers imposes the same standards upon the colonizer as they do the colonized; upon Jews and Christians as they do Muslims; on skin tones of white as they do of color, the history of yesterday and that unfolding before us today remains locked in a dismissal falsified story-line.
“US Faces Defeat in Geopolitical War in Gaza”; “Iran Warns Israel Against its Apocalyptic War”; and “The Geopolitics of Al-Aqsa Flood”: Global focus just shifted from Ukraine to Palestine. This new arena of confrontation will ignite further competition between the Atlanticist and Eurasian blocs.
In order to prevent a democratic and people based resolution of the crisis in Haiti, the US ruling elite have engineered the approval by the UN Security Council of a Multinational Security Support Mission to Haiti, authorized to use armed force in support of the de facto regime of Prime Minister Ariel Henry.
