NAPM marked three decades of struggle, solidarity, and transformative resistance at its 30th Anniversary National Convention held in Hyderabad from March 1–4, 2025, with the theme “Defending Democracy: Constitutional Justice to Climate Justice.”
If the coal project moves ahead despite the villagers’ resistance, it will decimate villages, farmlands and forests, and pollute the Badmahi river, an important lifeline of the region. It will also have severe climatic impacts over time, including erratic crop cycles and unseasonal rains.

NAPM expresses its solidarity with all these activists who are long standing members of human rights, civil liberties and mass organizations and have been working for the welfare and rights of the most disenfranchised people, including Adivasis, Dalits, workers, farmers, minorities and women.
