Following the collapse of the USSR and European socialism roughly 35 years ago, the US sought to crush Cuba through a merciless blockade. Cuba turned this dangerous situation around, thanks to the efforts of committed revolutionaries like Pedro Ross, who helped found the workers’ parliaments.

As the West worked itself into a lather in the last month over Russia moving its troops within its own borders, one GOP senator, Roger Wicker, bellowed that the U.S. should attack Russia with nuclear weapons. This was actually a threat to end human life on the planet.
For those who believe Africa was decolonized decades ago, it’s time to wake up from dream-world. With the help of groups like the CIA, Europe and USA covertly recolonized the continent, with bribes, murders, loans, privatizations and the installation of western-friendly regimes.
November was a good month for sanity and anti-capitalism. A leftist won the presidency in Honduras. Socialists prevailed in elections in Nicaragua and Venezuela. And the supposedly massive, U.S.-backed protest in Cuba against the communist government simply fizzled out.
