The Sub Committee of Accreditation of the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions decided to defer the accreditation of India’s National Human Rights Commission (NHRC-India) for the second consecutive year.
Building on an inclusive Dravidian politics, the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam has provided leadership to the opposition alliance countering the Bharatiya Janata Party, and Tamil Nadu has shown a better path for India’s development.
The Nehru-Mahalanobis strategy as interpreted on the basis of an alternative framework constitutes, to this day, the core of any genuine anti-imperialist and pro-people development strategy in an economy such as India’s.

The struggle between the emerging imperialist powers in the late 19th century ended in two world wars in the 20th century. The attempt of U.S. imperialism to destroy the emerging economic and political power of China poses the same risk.
