A divine symbol will not make parliament more democratic. Only a government which is aware that the opposition has also been elected and deserves respect can accomplish that.
No other Indian leader, with the exception of Gandhi, has been admired and held in so high esteem by such a galaxy of eminent men of the 20th century as Nehru had been. If he was idolized by the West, he was equally sought after in Communist Russia and in Africa, large parts of which were still under colonial rule.

There is a myth in capitalism that anybody and everybody—with the necessary drive and ambition—can make a go of starting their own business. Statistically, that is just not the case.
