Sahgal is referring to the struggle for freedom under Mahatma Gandhi. He brought together people in a way that cut across religion, region, class, gender. Bringing together this rich diversity into a strong political unity that overthrew the British Empire was an extraordinary achievement.

In Dalit women’s songs, emotions stimulate intellectualism in order to annihilate caste from our minds. In them, melody is constructed through historical fact, and music is a medium to pursue a life of the mind, emancipating singers and listeners from social constructs.
Giant corporations and governments create and finance the action of paramilitary groups, militarize and send the armed forces that assassinate in the name of power and money. However, they have not achieved their goal: to humiliate, denigrate and destroy the struggle for dignity and a full life.
Never before has an IPCC report given off such a strong sense of the anguish caused by the scientific analysis of the facts in the light of the inescapable laws of physics. But at the same time, it diverts attention from the systemic causes.
